Merna Marlene Muller Obituary
Merna Marlene Muller born December 1st, 1939, in Caldwell , Idaho, passed away on March 20, 2015 at her home in Chiloquin, Oregon. Merna was bar none the most amazing woman you could ever meet, no doubt 'one of a kind!' She was quite a legend in her Rodeo days and not just a barrel racer but, she could ride broncs and bulls, rope and win in every event. This led her to meet Bill Boyd. They hit it off at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, California. Enamored with Merna's rugged hands, he asked her to marry him. At 20 and 19 they began to embark on a herd of children, Jody , Craig, Lora and Kristy became their ranch hands. Bill was quite fortunate to marry a woman that could raise four kids on $300 a month. Through thick and thin Merna held the family together. After working on many ranches in California, Bill and Merna moved to Chiloquin, Oregon, where they finally bought their own place. Merna continued to pinch those pennies even after the kids left the nest and to Bill's liking they had their place paid for in no time. As Merna would say, 'It's crucical,' (crucial and critical)! She sure did have a way with words. Like them or not she didn't sugar coat them. She would tell you what she thought. That's what made her so special to so many people. Not only does she have the love and respect of her family , but to anyone and everyone she met. Now she can carry on in heaven and see which 'eject' she can help next. Merna Boyd will forever be loved, cherished, and missed by her family and all who knew her .
There will be a celebration of life at their place in Oregon on March 28th 2015. God Bless Merna!!
