Michael Thompson Obituary
Mike was born on December 17, 1965 along with his twin brother, Danny. He attended local schools and worked in the the oilfields of Kern county for about 14 years.
Then moved to Wallace, Idaho to work in the underground silvermines. He moved back to Bakersfield about 2 years ago because of health problems, and to be closer to his family.
His sister Jackie preceded him in death in 1998. He leaves behind his daughter Alicia of Tucson, Arizona and his son Michael of Wallace, Idaho. His grandsons; Cayden, Elijah, and Jessie. His mother, Hilda Thompson of Osburn, Idaho, brothers; John Nelson, Jimmy Nelson, and Danny Thompson.
Niece Christina Nelson who he affectionally called "The Counselor", favorite nepher, J.J. Nelson, and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Also good friends, Mike Owens and Roger Clemons for letting Mike have a place to rest his head, and Rod Borrego and Vernon Luther.
Mike's family could tell you some interesting stories about him. He had a hilarious sense of humor, and could be generous to a fault. Once while driving in traffic, he pulled over to the curb and gave a homeless man a $100.00 dollar bill. Another time when he was 11, he bought his mother a beautiful wall clock with a photo of white Bengal tigers on it. He paid for it with his own money that he earned delivering newspapers. His mother treasures this clock. Suffice to say, his family and friends miss him beyond words.
We look forward to seeing him again on a cleansed earth.
