Minnie Louise Cox Obituary
Minnie was born in Tyler, Texas to Mattie and Charles Janes. She met Carl Cox in the 5th grade but lost contact with him for many years. She attended high school in Norwalk, California where she met Carl again. They married in 1946 and had two children before moving to Bakersfield, California in 1954 where they raised four children. Minnie completed high school and went on to get a degree from Bakersfield College. She worked with many 4H and FFA groups with her children. Minnie worked at Bakersfield High School for 28 years and has been an active CSEA member.
She will be met in heaven by her mother Mattie, father Charles, brother Raymond, sister Wanda and granddaughter Wendy. She leaves behind her beloved Carl and four children: James Cox and his wife Susan, Dyana Bolivar and her her husband Victor, Carl "Wayne" Cox and wife Stacy, and Billy Cox. Minnie has three grandchildren: Denise Lum, Carly Carroll and Amber Cox, six great- grandchildren: Michelle Stubblefield, Christopher Stubblefield, Kelsey Cox-Williams, Bowdy Carroll, Hunter Carroll and Reagan Lum. She was also blessed with two great-great- grandchildren: Korrie Kelsey and Ryit Williams.
Viewing will be held on Monday, November 3rd from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Greenlawn Southwest. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 4th at 10:00 am at Greenlawn Southwest.
