While attending Walla Walla College she met James L. McCulloch also a student and on August 15, 1954 they were married in College Place, Washington. Two weeks later James started dental school at Loma Linda University. Myleen worked those four years in the school of medicine and at Loma Linda Hospital in the medical records and admissions office. Myleen has suffered from health problems the last 6 or more years and has been a patient at Parkview Julian Convalescent hospital the last 1 ½ years. She was a stay- at- home mom except for the 5 years she volunteered at Bakersfield Adventist Academy. These were very happy years. She loved the students and they loved her.
She was an active member of Loma Linda University Womens Auxiliary and also at the Hillcrest Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed traveling, including trips to Europe, Hawaii, New England, Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas where many fond memories were made.
She enjoyed flying with Jim in their Cessna 182 going frequently to the northwest including Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Homemaking was an art to her and she kept one of the cleanest homes ever and was a wonderful cook.
Another memory was her summer cousin camps for her five grandchildren who she loved very much. They will never forget the fun they had during cousin camp including the waffles and ice cream she served them for breakfast. Myleen was a very loving person and was loved by those who knew her. She was well known for her card ministry sending cards of encouragement to many who were sick or discouraged. She was well known at the Hallmark store. She is now resting in Jesus awaiting His soon return.
