Nancy Aslin Banducci Obituary
Nancy Aslin Banducci passed away peacefully in her bed in Jackson, CA on July 22, 2014. Nancy was born
in Bakersfield, CA to William and Katherine (Gannon) Aslin. As an only child, Nancy spent her formative years surrounded by a large Camarilla of cousins, aunts and uncles who for the most part doted on Nancy and allowed her a lot of longitude and latitude to operate as she was the first born child of an Irish family that migrated out here from Grattan, Michigan. It was said by the cousins that Nancy did not learn the word "no" until she attended High School!!!
She attended Garces Memorial High School and was in the first class of young women to do all four years and graduate from the School in 1953. She went on to receive her BA from Loyola Marymount College in 1957. After a short period as a Model in the fashion industry in Beverly Hills, CA, she found it was not for Nancy. She returned to Bakersfield to teach at her alma mater GMH and throughout the Kern High School district. In 1959 Nancy married Joseph Frederick Banducci and became a loving mother to Brian Banducci of Bakersfield, CA, Michael Banducci of Sacramento, CA and Lisa Banducci of Jackson, CA and a cherished "Grandmama" to Colton Merriman of Jackson, CA, Nicholas Banducci and Baron
Banducci of Bakersfield, CA. Nancy lived her life with a great emphasis on love and family. Her interest in travel and antiques led her to northern California in 1985, where she owned and operated the National Hotel in Jackson, CA. Known largely for her integrity and desire to put others needs before her
own, Nancy was an easy touch for those in need and a natural care giver, whose true passion in life was giving and nurturing others. She was a complete optimist as the glass was always half full not half empty. She never said a bad word about anybody, and her office door was always open.
Nancy and her Children would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to all close friends and the Jackson Garden's team who offered their devotion and love to Nancy throughout the years, you truly loved her and made a huge difference in our lives and we truly appreciate you. With a special thank you to Gay Mulhoffer Siemen for just being there and for all those long drives up to Jackson, CA. to visit Nancy. You were truly a sister to Nancy!
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am Tuesday, Aug 5, 2014 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in
