Nina Bell (Lackey) Herron 75, received her wings and went to be with the love of her life Dobin the morning of October 19, 2015.
Memorial will be held October 31, 2015, at North of the River Veterans Hall 400 Norris Road 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Nina was born in Oklahoma to Clem and Leora Lackey on September 21, 1940. She was the 5th of 9 children. She was a homemaker and later worked at Beardsley School as a noon supervisor for 22 years, she retired in 1998.
She met and married the love of her life Kenneth Ray Herron in 1957. The two were happily married for 45 years. They had two daughters Debra Ann and DeRhonda Kaye.
She had many talents sewing to painting from A to Z she could do it all. She was a wonderful wife - mother - grandmother and great grandmother. With a kind heart and strong hand she was the ruler of our tribe.
She was preceded in death by both parents, 3 brothers, husband Dobin , daughter DeRhonda and other loved ones.
Survived by her daughter Debbie Shepherd and husband Norman Shepherd, grandson Ronnie Cope Jr. and wife Elisha Cope, granddaughters Megan Davison and husband Michael Davison and Amy Lacefield, great grandsons Payson Carter Cope and Tucker Ray Kenneth Cope and many other family members.
We will not say goodbye only see you in a little while, love you mom/granny.
