Oleta May Taber Obituary
In Loving Memory of a dedicated Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Teacher & Friend Oleta May Taber August 18, 1931 - October 18, 2012 Oleta has gone to be with her Heavenly Father where she will be free of pain and suffering. Oleta will be in the company of her beloved husband Art and her oldest daughter Linda Sue (Regis ) who preceded her. Art and Oleta were married in Oklahoma October 24, 1947, 65 years ago. They had three children, Linda Sue (Regis), David Lee and Sally Marie (Burdick). Oleta graduated from Chico State in June of 1968 and began her teaching career in Yuba City shortly thereafter. Along with teaching she was a strong and faithful pastor's wife filling many rolls at one time. Together with Art they traveled to many places, including Germany to visit David who was stationed there with the Army. Oleta was an avid reader loved the ocean and history; she enjoyed time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her close companion over the last seven years was her beloved dog Patches. The past five years were spent living in West Jordan, Utah close to her son David. Oleta became fast friends with Fran who lived just a few doors away and they had many great adventures together. We know there are many lives that were touched and made better by knowing her. We are grateful to all the wonderful people that took care of her thru her many illnesses. This is the Day that the Lord Has Made Rejoice and be Glad in it. Services will be held in Lompoc, California on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. www.bakersfield.com/obits
