Opal M. Brown Obituary
She was born in Wainright, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo R. Brown, son, Robert L. Brown and seven siblings. She is survived by her son, Russell G. Brown (Naoma), daughter-in-law, Janice Engstrom; grandchildren: Debbie Craven (Chris), Jeff Nichols, Mark Brown (Rene), Robert Brown (Holly), Terry Brown (Brandy), 14 great-grandchildren, 8 great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was an active member in her church since the age of 16. Moved to California in 1939 where she lived, worked for the County of Kern, and retired in 1980. She raised her sons and lived in California for 67 years. She moved to Forsyth, Missouri with her son and daughter-in-law in 2010. She enjoyed her time at Forsyth Nursing & Rehab where she lived out her final days.
There will be a celebration of her life, January 23, 2015 at 1:00pm with a viewing beginning at 11:00am at Greenlawn Mortuary, 3700 River Blvd.
