Oscar L. Jones Sr. Obituary
Oscar L. Jones, Sr. (aka O.J.) was born in Ore City, Texas on June 25, 1932 to Leroy and Georgiana Jones. He and his younger siblings, Charles W., Miley Ann, and Robert Lee were raised in Bakersfield by his mother and stepfather, E.C. Carter. They later moved to Orange County with their two young children, Oscar Jr. and Sandra where he worked for McPeek Chrysler Plymouth as a mechanic for many years.
In 1981 O.J. moved back to Bakersfield and worked for the Kern County High School district as a supervisor and mechanic until he retired in 1994.
