Patricia Wong Lee Obituary
Patricia Lee, a Bakersfield resident since 1958 died on January 13th, 2015. She was born in San Francisco, California in 1931 and graduated from the University of California Berkeley, where she attained her BS and MS Degree as well as being a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Subsequently, she worked at Oakland City College where she taught Chemistry for two years, while being engaged to her future husband Sonny Lee.
She then moved to Bakersfield to teach at Bakersfield College, where she retired in 1993. She committed her life to education and her students. For those fortunate enough to enroll in her Chemistry 2A classes, they certainly have many fond memories of doing so. She had a life long interest in travel and a fondness for experiencing different cultures. She enjoyed shooting guns, flying airplanes and regularly having meals together with family and friends throughout her life.
She is survived by numerous godson's and goddaughter's; her nephew John Moss; her adopted daughter Sandra Lee; her niece Bao Yin Gallion; and her son (emotionally) Edward Rodriguez; she will be sorely missed.
