Linda Patricia (Patt) Arambula Edwards was born on August 13, 1946, in Bakersfield, California. She attended Our Lady of Guadalupe School, before continuing on to BHS. She believed in the motto 'Once a Driller, Always a Driller' . She studied to be a beautician at Federico Beauty College. She remained in Bakersfield for most of her life, but lived in Las Vegas for 11 years.
Patt was loved and admired by all who knew her. She was known for her strength, her sense of humor and her ingenious way of creating something out of nothing. She was quick to make you smile, had an infectious laugh and great hair. An avid traveler, she managed to see over 20 US states, as well as Canada, England and France. Her musical tastes were eclectic, ranging from Elvis to Tupac. She loved 'collectibles' and she was a dedicated cat rescuer.
She leaves behind her children John Benjamin, Belinda and Daniela Bannister-Weimann and Nick and Monica Bannister; grandsons Brandon and Jonathan Benjamin; parents Mary and Richard Arambula; brother Ralph Arambula; sister, and best friend, Rose Gonzales and her beloved Scatty. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was met at the gates by her husband Roger Edwards, her sister Rachel Arambula Colfax, her grandmother Jacoba Cantu and her cat Baby Girl.
Services are planned for Friday, August 26, 2016 11:00 am, at St. Francis of Assisi Church; 900 H Street, Bakersfield, CA 93304.
If you find yourself crossing over any time soon, keep an eye out for Patt. She won't be hard to locate. Just figure out where Elvis is playing and you'll see her right there, in the front row.
