Phillip Quintero Obituary
Phillip Quintero, 39 brought to life by Julia Ruiz and Felipe Quintero on February 11, 1975, peacefully passed away on April 2, 2014. Phillip was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. He graduated from Foothill High School in 1993, then went on to attend Bakersfield College. For most of his adult life, Phillip worked in the oil and gas industry.
He was married to Becky Arias Quintero from 1999-2006 in which they remained the closest of friends while raising their daughter Sydney together. Phillip loved life, lived it to the fullest and cherished his daughters Justice (18) and Sydney (16) Quintero. Phillip always enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears and Lakers on TV, or cheering on his girls from the sidelines, having a cold one with his friends and family while listening to music, going to the park with his daughters, and spending the summers camping at the beach and Bass Lake.
Phillip leaves behind his parents, daughters, sister Julia (Ryan) Miller, brothers, Steve Quintero, Bernardo (Deseree), Ralphy, and Gilbert Arreola. In addition he had several nieces and nephews and a loving mother-in-law (Peva - Sylvia Arias). He loved all of his friends and family and had a true gift to make anyone feel welcomed. You could always count on him to lend a hand or make you laugh. Phillip will be remembered and missed greatly. He was a beloved dad, son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, son-in-law, and friend. His body is gone, but his spirit will be with us forever.
Service Pending. A celebration for Phillip's life will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the Eagles 1718 17th Street at 12pm.
