Phyliss Jean Allison July 15, 1923 - January 13, 2010 Born July 15, 1923 to Robert and Hilda Lowery in South Dakota, Phyliss moved with her family to Bakersfield as a very young child and spent the rest of her childhood here. Upon completion of her education, Phyliss moved to Long Beach to pursue a career in a bigger city. It was there that she met and later married her very special husband, Bill Allison. Together they enjoyed a wonderful and exciting life in various cities around the country with Bill's company and shared their friendship with many great people. Phyliss finally retired in Nov. 2009, from managing with her husband, the Laguna Vista Apartments in Long Beach for over 30 years where she stayed active with her daily routines. As a wonderful Aunt to her nieces and nephews, this beautiful Lady amused her family and friends with her sassy and energetic lifestyle. Phyliss lived her life to the fullest enjoying, travel, golf, bowling, and spending time with her family and friends. Phyliss is preceded in death by her mother and father; her sister, Lila Pensinger and brother-in-law James; brothers, Robert Lowery and sister- in-law Carrie, and Ronald Lowery. She is survived by her nieces, Judy Farnham and Rose Mary Muncy, of Alaska; nephews, Ronald Lowery of Alaska, and Jim Pensinger of Bakersfield. Our hearts are filled with a special love for Phyliss and our memories of her will bring us eternal joy. We love you Aunt Phyliss and will remember you always.
