Quentin Calude Watts passed away peacefully in his home Monday October 5, 2015 with his wife by his side.
Living for 93 years Quentin had lived and experienced all life had to offer. Born in Wild Cherry Arkansas he made his way to California where he graduated from UC Berkley with top honors. He resided most of his years in Taft California where he was a successful business owner. He then became a teacher at Taft High school and eventually the Superintendent of schools. After retiring he worked for Taft Prison system. He enjoyed golf and monthly dinner at his supper club.
A keen mind Quentin was one intelligent man, always in conversation with whomever he met.
Quentin was survived by his Wife Mary Avennel Watts of 47 years, step- daughter Terri Jones and step- son Alan Plant and families, daughters Clarice Franke and Cynthia Mitchell, nephews, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Proceeded in death by his Father Zacathry and Mother Artie Watts, brothers Onis, Ellis, Art and Roe.
A service will be held Tuesday October 13, 2015 11:00 am at Hillcrest Memorial Park 9101 Kern Canyon Road Bakersfield, Ca. 93306
