Ramona Jacques Torres Obituary
Our Tia, Ramona "Mona" Jacques Torres, was born 04/13/1915 and passed away10/30/2015. Tia Mona was one of seven siblings born to Benigno and Simona Torres. Tia Mona lived a tough life early on, working alongside her family of migrant farm workers and traveling from state to state. The siblings stayed together into adulthood and prospered by combining their resources.
Through hard work, ingenuity, well planned investments and a deep faith in God, the family gained a respected place in whatever community they settled in. Tia Mona and her family lived in several places including Baja California, Arizona and Bakersfield. Tia Ramona never married or had children of her own, however, she had numerous nieces and nephews who were a part of her long life.
Tia Mona quietly left this earth surrounded by family members to continue on her spiritual journey.
Tia Mona was preceded in death by her sisters Demecia "Demy" Torres, Narcisa "Nancy" Olvera and her brothers Eutimio "Tim" Torres and Primitivo "Primo" Torres. Tia Mona is survived by her sister Irene "Nene" Torres and her brother Richard "Richie" Torres. Tia Mona, you will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all your family and especially by your sister, Irene.
