Robert Tardy Anderson Obituary
Bob was born to Harry Palmer and Mary Elizabeth (Tardy) Anderson in Ingelwood, CA, on August 23, 1932. He passed away suddenly and very unexpectedly at his home in Bellingham, WA, on April 15, 2015.
He is survived by his sister Mary Haag - Torrance, CA; daughter Patrice Anderson Lynch- Woodland Hills, CA; son - Robert Thomas Anderson (Lori) - Wasilla, AK; blended family Phillip W. Rubert(Elaine)- Auburn, WA; Clifford L. Rubert, Jr.(Renee) - Puyallup, WA; Pamela Woods-Breakfield(Jeff) - Soldotna AK. Grandchildren: Natalee Breakfield - Portland, ME; Robert Timothy Anderson(Heather)- Glendive, MT; Ashley Bacher(Brandon)-Wasilla, AK; Rosalind Lynch - Palmer, AK; Michael Lynch - San Luis Obispo, CA; Kerry Rubert Bentley - Bothell, WA; Chrystal Rubert-Algona, WA; Cassondra Rubert - South Prairie, WA; Nicholas Rubert(Jasmine)- Bellingham, WA; Tyler Rubert(Gina) - Puyallup, WA; Justin Weber(Jessica)- Palmer, AK; Amy Hart (Dan)- Anchorage, AK; and Ben Breakfield - Soldotna, AK.
Great- Grandchildren: Brock, Annika, Payton, Parker, Jonah, Amelia, Matilda, Ben, Javen, Jonoven, and Jace.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the love of his life, Nelda Anderson; his parents Hal and Elizabeth; his sons David and Michael Anderson; son in law Theodore Lynch; brother in law Robert Haag.
Bob retired from UNOCAL in 1992 after completing 35 years of employment, including 25 years as District Land Manager with offices in Anchorage, AK.
During his life Bob enjoyed golf, family, football, travel, skiing, and good humor. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, friend, business man, advisor, sportsman, and a GREAT grandfather. He was involved and invested in the lives and success of his family, friends and community. He will be sorely missed.
A memorial service will be held to honor his life at the Bellwether Hotel, Admiral Room at One Bellwether Way, Bellingham, WA, on May 3rd at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, friends and family are encouraged to give to his designated charities, Disabled Vets of America, The Salvation Army, Alzheimer's Foundation or the Wounded Warriors Project.
