Roberta Douglas Obituary

Roberta "Bobbie" Douglas September 30, 1931 - October 24, 2010 Bobbie, the third of four children, is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Dorcus Douglas. She is survived by her sisters, June Slocomb, Barbara Harkins, and Claire Harrington; her five daughters, Kathleen Riekstins, Robin Enos, Kem White, Cindy Lencioni, and Wendy Johnston; as well as 20 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Bobbie served as a Eucharistic Minister at her church for many years and was very strong in her faith. Her family was her greatest joy. She is resting at peace with our Lord Christ Jesus. We miss her more than words can say, will remember her always, and love her with all our hearts. Mass will be held on Friday, November 12, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Francis Church, 900 H St. Greenlawn Mortuary www.bakersfield.com/obits

I had the pleasure of knowing this wonderful woman for many years at Castlewood Retirement. Bobbie loved talking about her children, grand and great-grand children, as they were her pride and joy. She will be missed.
