Robin Lynn (Meeks) Sawyer Obituary
Robin was born November 3, 1957 in Bakersfield, CA to parents Thomas F. Meeks, Jr. and Patricia L. Meeks. She lived a life full of love and had many great experiences along the way. As a young girl she was involved with the Girl Scouts, was a volunteer candy striper, and a Honor Queen for Jobs Daughters. It wasn't long after she graduated from West High School that she became a mother of 3 kids who loved her very much (Josh Howells, Abbie Howells, Amanda Pitts) and not long after that she joined the family business (Professional Realty Management) with her dad and eventually her son, she was there for 27 years. Robin later met her husband Larry Sawyer. Robin and Larry spent many fun times together, as they had so much in common. They both loved their horses and spending time in the mountains riding and camping, and they were never alone, they always had many friends with them no matter what they were doing. When she was at home she enjoyed making up recipes and cooking, and loved seeing her grandkids.
Robin passed away on June 2, 2014 and will be missed by many. She is survived by her husband Larry Sawyer, her parents; Tom and Pat Meeks, sisters; Tami and Tracy, her 3 children; Josh Howells, Abbie Howells, Amanda Pitts, grandchildren; Hannah, Halie, Brooklyn, Zac, Austin, and Jack, Step Children; Darin, Wendi, Brett, Michael, Wendy and 9 step grandchildren.
Larry, Tom, Pat, and Josh would like to give a special thanks to Amanda and Abbie for the loving care they gave their mother as well as Hoffmann Hospice.
Visitation will be Monday June 9 from 4-8 pm and funeral services Tuesday June 10 at 10:00 am at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel.
