Roger Dale Grissom
July 2, 1948 - June 9, 2018

With deep sorrow, my love Roger Dale Grissom passed away on June 9, 2018, at the age of 69. He was surrounded by his wife and family.

Roger was born in St. Joseph, Louisiana on July 2, 1948. In 1967 at the age of 19 in service to his country, he enlisted into the United States Airforce and proudly served during the Vietnam conflict as a Staff Sergeant Police. Roger was a person full of life and he lived it to the fullest. His presence would light up a room, and he had a laugh everyone knew. He had an enormous heart and kindest soul you ever met, and those beautiful blue eyes that seared my heart with love.

Roger is was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Treba Grissom. He is survived by his beloved wife of 11 yrs (together for 26yrs) Mercedes Grissom. Sisters, Carolyn (Carl) Livsey, Maryann (Roman) Geissel. Brothers, Carrie (Joe) Grissom, Russel (Angie) Grissom, Ronnie Grissom and Bobby Grissom.

Roger was a beloved uncle "Tio" to numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, there love and support is unbounded.

To our Memorial Hospital Family and all our dear friends, thank you for your support and love during this most difficult time.

Our beloved PAPA, a bright and shining light has gone from our lives. We will all miss him dearly. His light is now at peace and in the safe arms of our most Holy Mary Immaculate. Eternal rest my LOVE.
