Ronald (Ponce) de Pencier

04/14/1928 - 01/09/2015 Obituary
Ronald de Pencier passed away peacefully at home January 9, 2015 with his family by his side. Ron was born in Iowa and moved to California at a young age. He attended Kern County Union High School and went on to serve his country in the Army.
Ron married Jeanette and they raised two children. He had a strong work ethic and taught his children that as well. He owned and operated Doormaster Sales with his wife for more than forty years. Ron had a love for the sea, and especially skin diving. Before it became popular, he was hunting with a bow, water skiing behind a car down the canal bank and snow skiing (in Levis). He passed on his love of water and snow skiing to his children and their friends. He also had a passion for collectable cars.
Ron was preceded in death by his father Mike and mother Thelma and leaves behind his wife Jeanette, son Ryon (Lisa), daughter Monique Morosa (John) and his grandchildren, Ashley de Pencier, Dominic de Pencier, Miette Morosa and John Morosa III. As well as Kenny Foster, his right hand man and friend at Doormaster for over 40 years.
To our "Poppy" for all the countless hours of reading, watching movies, riding the forklift, scooter and Brownie! We love you and already miss you.
The family would like to thank his caregiver Donna and Hoffmann Hospice.
No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Association of Kern County.
