Ruby Elizabeth Dykes Rawlins Obituary
Ruby Elizabeth Dykes Rawlins was born March 11, 1921 in Smith Nevada. She grew up in Yerington, Nevada and was the seventh child of Cleo and Sam Dykes.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Robert Rawlins, a daughter Mary Hancock, a son Robert Jr., a granddaughter Alicia Rawlins, and a great grandson Robert William Rawlins.
She is survived by a daughter, Darlene Ciruso; sons Wesley, Steven and Jon (Deborah); 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 4 great- great-grandchildren, a brother, Clyde Dykes, and many nieces and nephews.
She was a Tupperware demonstrator for sixteen years and an Eligibility Worker for Kern County Welfare for thirteen years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Meadows Ward. She loved growing flowers, working cross word puzzles and writing poetry. Her life was wrapped around her many grand children.
In lieu of flowers please plant some flowers, work a puzzle and give your loved ones a hug and tell them you love them.
Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2828 McCray St. at 10:00 am, Friday, January 16th. Burial will be at Union Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her loving husband, Robert Lee Rawlins.
