After completing his service obligations in May of 1939, he returned to CA where he married Reba W. In 1943 the family moved to the Kern County area to seek permanent employment. R.E. worked for Belridge Oil Co/Shell until his retirement in 1983. The family attended the Wasco First Baptist Church. Reba passed away on 9/3/1957 & daughter, Carol Yvonne (Messick) Vaughn passed away on 8/15/1998. In 1962 R.E. was introduced to Wanda L. Grafton (Bakersfield) and were married on 12/7/1962. The Family attended the Assembly of God Church in Bakersfield until they moved to Wasco in 1964 where they attended the Wasco Assembly of God Church. In year, 2000, they sold their Wasco home & moved into "Florence Gardens", a ministry of Canyon Hills Assembly of God Church. Time/health issues took it's toll on Russell & Wanda with both passing in 2013 to join other family members at the Throne of Jesus Christ our Lord. A Special Thanks goes out to the Guardian Home Care & Optimal Hospice Care for their Love & Support that allowed both of them to stay in their home to the very end.
