Louella worked for the Arvin Union School District as a cook, she also took in laundry and ironing at home. She was employed in several seasonal farm labor jobs "she still missed picking cotton". Louella also cooked seasonally at a local duck club, where John Wayne frequented and they all loved her cooking.
Her love was being a homemaker, sewing, cooking, quilting, taking care of her grandchildren and having family get-togethers. Louella was an avid quilt maker and loved to make her children and grandchildren clothing. She donated many of her patch work quilts to churches and other charities. She lived for family get-togethers and naturally did a lot of the cooking. She made the best apple pie and peach cobbler. She was a 22 year colon cancer survivor. "Her love was unconditional".
The family would like to give a special thank you to "Gods Angels" of Evergreen Acute Care and Optimal Hospice.
