Salvador Silva Obituary
The Man. The Myth. The Legend.
Salvador "Sal" Silva, 57, of Bakersfield, CA passed away unexpectedly last week.
Services will be held on Friday May 8, 2015 at Greenlawn Mortuary, 2739 Panama Lane, Bakersfield, CA 93313.
His viewing will begin at 10am and his funeral will be at 2pm. Everyone who knew Sal are welcome to pay their respects.
He was a self-made, business man who sought perfection in everything he pursued.
Sal is survived by his son Christopher, mother Theresa, brother Rafael, sister Judy, the mother of his children Merri Silva and his four grandchildren, Makayla, Chelsea, Catelyn and Eli. Sal is preceded in death by his brother Jose Alberto Silva and his father Jose Sal Silva.
Sal was a loving man. Determined to make sure his family had everything they needed and more. He was always placing his family first in his life. His words of wisdom will be greatly missed along with his sense of humor. He brought great joy and laughter to all around him. Even in the toughest of times, Sal helped everyone to "stay focused" and to work hard in order to overcome every obstacle. His life's motto was:
WHERE THERE IS A WILL,
THERE IS A WAY.
We'll be commemorating the passing of Sal by laying him to rest with his son, David Silva's ashes, whom we lost May 8th 2013.
Rest in peace. Forever missed.
