SANDRA LEE SWISHER TARDIFF Obituary
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
2 Timothy 4:7
Sandi Tardiff was born February 28, 1937 in Horton, Kansas to Arline and Garnet Swisher. She graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1954. In 1956 she married (Alfred) Lloyd Stapp. She was a devoted and supportive mother to her two children Don and Jennifer. Although Sandi and Lloyd parted ways, they became friends again when their precious grand-daughter Aislynn Rose was born.
As a single mom, Sandi became a paralegal. While working for attorney Melvin Magnus, she met her second husband Joe Tardiff. Sandi treasured their ranch and refreshed her spirit by sitting under the oak trees, watching her cows. She had many friends in the Sequoia Amateur Radio Group and the Breckenridge Buckskinners fur trade re-enactment group.
Sandi had many talents. Her home was filled with needlework and beautiful blankets she crocheted. She loved singing with her "sisters" in the Sweet Adelines acapella group, played the piano and was the chorister for her church. She had a cheerful smile, a wonderful sense of humor, and loved a good prank. She had a gift for encouraging others and was an amazing example of strength.
Services will be October 20, 2015 at 10:00am in the Greenlawn Chapel, 3700 River Blvd. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00am. Dedication of the grave will immediately follow the chapel service.
