SanJuanita Serrano March 30, 1950 - September 30, 2012 Juanita was born from Benancio and Maria Bustamante in Weslaco, Texas. She has resided in Bakersfield for 50 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Victor Serrano; daughter, Maribel Serrano; son, Victor Serrano Jr.; daughter-in-law, Jeanette; grandchildren, Angel, Gabriel and Rosa, Destanie, Vianca, Marina, Phillip, and Olivia; great grandchild, Marissa; brothers and sisters, Mario, Gilberto, Lupe, Dora, Lydia, Connie, and Gracie. Juanita was surrounded by her loved ones which she always held so dear. Juanita was a mother figure to many and she was well respected. Juanita lived life to its fullest. She always lived in the moment and created wonderful memories. She always gave to others in need without questioning. She enjoyed music, dancing, singing, joking with her beautiful laugh, cooking, watching novellas, and let's not forget to mention - her enjoyment at casinos. Juanita had remarkable strength until her passing day. She was "One Tough Cookie!" She will be dearly missed by all!
