Supt. Freeman Lindell Richardson February 8, 1932 - October 10, 2012 Superintendent Freeman L. Richardson was born to the union of Wash and Laura Bell Richardson on February 8, 1932, in Bowie County, Texarkana, TX. He was the seventh born of seventeen children. Supt. Richardson was educated in the Texas school system. Along with his brothers, Supt. Richardson formed the "Famous Richardson Brothers" singing group. They are still remembered for their unique harmonies and quartet singing style. In 1952, Supt. Richardson relocated to Wasco, CA and united with the Rose of Sharon C.O.G.I.C., under the leadership of Pastor Franklin James. There, he met his soul-mate and the love of his life, Mother Jennie Mae Richardson. They were united in Holy Matrimony on May 29, 1953 and God blessed their union with six beautiful daughters. In 1957, Supt. Richardson moved his family to Bakersfield, CA. God and family were always first in his life. He blessed many during his lifetime and he will be greatly missed. It was an honor and privilege to know this wonderful Man of God. Superintendent Richardson leaves us to join his lovely wife Jennie Mae Richardson, his parents Wash and Laura Richardson, and twelve siblings. Left to cherish his memory and continue his legacy are his daughters: Rose Marie Jones, Gloria Jean Williams, Loretta Sue Andrews, Genetra Richardson and Vicky Lynn Richardson of Bakersfield, CA, and Patricia Brown (Ronell) of San Diego, CA; brothers: Curtis Richardson (Joyce) and Robert Richardson of Bakersfield, CA and Samuel Richardson (Dorothy) of Sacramento, CA; sister, Exie Ware of Texarkana, TX; ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren. The Viewing and Hour of Meditation will be Friday, October 19, 2012 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. The Home-going Celebration will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2012, both at Greater Harvest Christian Center, 5421 Aldrin Court, Bakersfield, CA 93313.
