Sylvia Marie Krouse Obituary
Sylvia Marie Krouse, 56, of Bakersfield, CA passed away peacefully at home on December 23, 2016 at 2:53 pm. Sylvia was born in Bakersfield, CA to Jesus and Alice Gutierrez (Sanchez) on October 7, 1960.
She graduated from West High School in 1978 and went on to earn a degree from Bakersfield college as a registered X-Ray technologist and later went on to work as an MRI technologist. Sylvia dedicated many years to the healthcare industry helping countless patients. She was a member of the California Society of Radiologic Technologists.
Sylvia enjoyed time with family and friends - especially her grandchildren - watching old
westerns, discovering Civil war history and listening to George Strait. She was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan but her love for competition and cheering on the best team did not end there. Sylvia spent many years coaching softball and guided not only her children, but many others through the 4-H program.
Sylvia is predeceased in death by her father Jesus Gutierrez, her sister Barbara Campbell and two twin grandsons, Kashtin and Kam Sanchez. She is survived by a loving family and husband Trevor Shuster, daughter Angie Sanchez and husband Jason, daughter Marnie Krouse and Larry Dano daughter Kelly Shuster and fiance Jay Trankley daughter Bailly and husband Dan Coons, son Tanner Shuster, mother Alice Gutierrez, brother Jesus Jr. and wife Lana Gutierrez, sister Carol and husband Chevelo Lomeli, sister Laura and husband Alan
Hardin, brother Alfred and wife Sally Gutierrez, brother David and wife Paula Gutierrez, sister Rosemary Gutierrez, 8 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be held at Greenlawn Southwest, 2739 Panama Lane, Bakersfield, CA 93313 on January 6, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 pm. The funeral service, followed by burial, will be held at Greenlawn Southwest, 2739 Panama Lane, Bakersfield, CA 93313 on January 7, 2017 at 1:00 pm.
