Terrie Lynette Gloeckner Obituary
Terrie was born on June 12, 1955, in North Carolina and passed away on September 4, 2015, in Bakersfield.
Terrie grew up in Bakersfield and attended North High, where she was a cheerleader and participated in many activities. She started a family in the mid '70s and began her career in dentistry while living in San Francisco. Returning to Bakersfield in the early '80s, she raised her sons, operated her own cleaning business, and attended Taft College, where she graduated as a Dental Hygienist. She loved working in the dental field. Terrie finished her professional dental career of over 30 years while working at Clinica Sierra Vista, a job she adored.
Terrie was a wonderful mother, loved her family, and Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior.
Her interests included gardening, baking and cooking from scratch, sewing; writing, welcoming guests at her church, and much more. Terrie was a perfectionist in all she did and was a very organized and detail-oriented person. She possessed a kind and caring heart, loved her children and animals. In addition to her family, she leaves behind three beloved cats.
Terrie was preceded in death by her mother, Arlayne White; and her son, Brad Gloeckner. She is survived by her sons, Jeff and Brian Gloeckner, both of Bakersfield; and sisters, Vikki Holcomb, with husband Geoff; Cindie Sawyer, and daughters Samantha and Nicole; and many other loved nieces and nephews.
Her family and friends will miss her dearly. We weep, that one so lovely should have a life so brief.
Terrie and family would like to express their gratitude for the care provided by her doctors and the City of Hope. Terrie requested no services.
