Louise was born Vada Louise Moren on December 14, 1924, in Montague, TX.
Louise, 91, went to be with the Lord and her husband, Melvin Land, on Saturday, April 2, 2016. Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Louise spent her life taking care of her family, loving and caring for them. During World War II, she worked in the War Defense factories, and in later years, she shared her love by raising foster children.
Louise is survived by her daughter, Charolette and husband Gene Telese; by her granddaughters, Meegan and husband Richard Brooks, and Monica and husband Matt Melendez; by her great-grandsons, Trever and wife Tiffany Gafford, Bodi and fiancee Ashley Brooks; by her great-great-granddaughters, Megan Melendez, Emma Gafford, Addison Gafford; and the great-great-granddaughter that will become part of the family in September of this year, Baby Girl Brooks.
Louise, our mother, can now walk with not only the Lord, but with her beloved husband Melvin without the pain she has endured these past years.
Very special thanks to Optimal Hospice Care and to her great-granddaughter-in-law, Tiffany Gafford.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., and the service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Chapel, 2739 Panama Lane.
