Val M. Alvidrez Obituary
Val M. Alvidrez, 81, born June 5, 1933 in Buttonwillow, passed away peacefully January 31, 2015, with his wife Charlotte and children by his side. Val served in the U.S. Army following his graduation from Bakersfield High School. He was employed by the City of Bakersfield, retiring from the Civic Auditorium. Val was an avid sports fan following his children and grandchildren's many athletic events and supporting all his favorite NFL teams and the Dodgers. His true love in life was his wife of 56 years, Charlotte, and the family they built together. He was preceded in death by his beloved son Steve.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte, daughter-in-law Ramona, son David and Gail, son Gary and Monique, daughter Valerie and George, son Philip and Norma, daughter Patricia and Danny. Grandchildren Steven and Lorena, Ashley, Kristin, Bianca, Emily, Sarah, Lucas, Matthew, Jessianne, Ryan and Anabel, his brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be recited at 5:00 P.M. Thursday, February 5, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Friday, February 6th, also at St. Francis Church.
