Verle Moore Obituary
Verle was born in Seminole County, Oklahoma. He passed away in Bakersfield, California from COPD. He moved to Bakersfield with his family when he was 7 years old. He went to school in Shafter at Rosedale, and later at Shafter High. He enlisted in the Army at 17, and served in Korea. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge in Wasco.
He was predeceased by brothers and sisters: Boyd, Lenvil, Arnold, Merle, Mary Haberstich and Gerry Miller. Survived by sisters: Rita McCarthy, Doris Patrick, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a great friend, son, brother, uncle and like a Grandpa to his nieces and nephews. He was regarded as a favorite by many friends and family, he will be missed.
Viewing will be held Wednesday from 5-7 pm at Mish Funeral Home in Oildale. Graveside service will be held Thursday at 10 am, at the Shafter Cemetary. Memorial gathering with food immediately following service, in Bakersfield at: 11711 Childress St.
