Walter Charles Truitt "Bebe" 1928 - 2013 Born in Macon, Missouri the youngest of five boys. Born to James Roy and Dora Kathleen Truitt. He moved to Bakersfield CA after his father passed away and went to work at DiGorgio Farms to support his mother. He met and subsequently married his wife of 65 years Elizabeth Mae Hall 1948. Together they had two daughters, Diana and Rebecca, and two sons Mathew and Mark. Always a hard worker he finally settled into the construction trade where he operated an assortment of heavy equipment. He drove truck, he dug ditches, whatever it took to support his family. An avid outdoorsman he spent many hours in the mountains of Kern Co. and southwestern Utah hunting, fishing and trail riding. He is survived by his devoted wife Elizabeth,daughters Diana and Rebecca, sons Mathew and Mark. He is survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Viewing is Sunday June 23, 2013 from 1-5 p.m. at Mission Family Mortuary, 531 California Ave. Graveside services at Greenlawn 3700 River Blvd. Monday June 24, 2013 at 10:00. www.bakersfield.com/obits
