Wayne David September 28, 1935 - July 18, 2013 Wayne David, 77, born September 28, 1935 of Vista, Ca. passed July 18, 2013. He was a loving, faithful husband of 36 years to Susan David. Married March 19, 1977 they lived together the first 29 years in Bakersfield before relocating later to Vista, Ca. Wayne was the son of George and Colleen David. Survivors are his children, Keith David, Terrie Bernal and Tracie Hall, daughters by marriage are Elizabeth Ott and Nicole Thomas. Wayne's grandchildren; Travis, Samantha, Lesley, Bridget, Tausha, Chris, David and Austin. There are 10 great grandchildren. Wayne's sisters are Elsie Holliday, Joanne Boozer, Jean Williams and Mary Shields. His beloved pets were Amber and Tara. He was educated in Bakersfield, graduated Arvin High. Owner of Wayne David Cement Contractor, David Construction, Wayne David Home Inspection and Central Vac of Bakersfield; in construction for over 40 years. Wayne was also a realtor. He was President of Kern County Builders Exchange, President/Treasurer of Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship, Secretary/Treasurer of Susan David Ministries, an East Bakersfield Rotarian, BPOE Elk, lay pastor at First Assembly of God, Bakersfield along with his wife Susan. Hobbies included a love for building and refurbishing whether large or small he referred to it as 'tinkering.' His favorite past time, spending time with his wife Susan and having family and friends over for Bar-b-ques. His favorite trip was to Israel. Wayne is remembered most for his exuberant greeting and warm smile. He never failed to make every conversation about the one he was addressing. His kindness, honesty and humble spirit will not only be remembered but will carry on comforting them who knew him. A simple man yet strong in spirit who loved his Lord and delighted in sharing testimonies of God's goodness. A private gathering will be conducted in Bakersfield and again at his home in Vista on Saturday August 10, 2013 at 11am.
