Wiliam Fredrick Bradley

William Fredrick Bradley was born in Denison, Texas on May 31, 1921, and passed away in Shafter, California October 27, 2014. He was an only child born to Rufe and Mary Bradley. The small family migrated to California when he was 10 years old. He was educated in local schools and graduated Shafter High School with the class of 1940. When World War II started he was drafted into the army Air Corp., where he served honorably and with pride in the European Theater until he was discharged in 1946.
Upon his return home he found employment with The Superior Oil Company. He worked with them as a plant operator until his retirement 42 years later.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Gladys in 1950, his grandson, Brian in 1993 and his daughter Sharron in 2000. He is survived by his wife Janet, son James (Connie), granddaughter Becky (Robby) and great grandchildren - Mikayla, Bryson and Cayden Gather.
The family would like to thank the staff at Carrington in Shafter for the compassionate care he received for the last three years. We would also like to thank Hoffman Hospice for the special care he received in his final weeks. A very special Thank You to Ruby Matzke for her love and support through his final journey. Graveside services will be Friday, October 31, 2014 at Greenlawn, Panorama and River Blvd. at 2 p.m.
