William Galvan Obituary

Services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday March 10 at Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery for William Galvan who passed away March 1, 2016. Graveside services will follow immediately. William was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

William was born in San Diego although, at age 8, his family moved to Bakersfield. William was known to many by his protective ways. He loved his family greatly. One of his proudest moments was being able to take care of his father during his last days. Although he loved all his family, he had an unconditional love for his mother, Helen.

William's favorite pastimes were sports; he loved his San Diego Chargers! William was a man who had great respect for others. He had a tough outside but a great heart inside. He will be missed by many.

William is survived by his parents, William (preceded in death) and Helen Galvan, his wife, Yolanda, his children William and Juanita Galvan, Cynthia Ronquillo (preceded in death), Eddie and Sofia Ronquillo, Robert Ronquillo, Dina Patrick Calderon, Ricardo Galvan, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Lydia, Stevie, David, Becky, Dina, and Rachel. Special thanks to a lifelong friend Pastor Mike Salazar.
