Young Kang Obituary

Young Chul Kang February 10, 1951 - October 9, 2010 Young Kang was born in Seoul, Korea. He is survived by his parents, Woon Suk and Kyu Cho Kang; wife, Koung Hee (Mary); sons, Kyung (and wife Joan) and Ja-Won; sisters, Young Hye and husband In Ku Joo, Young Eun and husband Sun Chul Kim, Young Mi and husband Kenneth Han; grandson, Aaron Imago. Young passed away peacefully on Saturday morning (October 9, 2010) at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles. Young, also known as "Mr. Young," moved to Bakersfield with his family in 1987 in search of a place to call "home", a place to raise his kids and start a new life in America. Young ventured into various types of businesses but put his heart into everything he did. No matter the difficulties he faced, he entrusted his heart, mind, and soul to God. As a devout Christian, Young became an Elder in the church and was beloved in the Korean-American community. After a long battle with cancer, Young is now no longer in pain and is resting peacefully with God in Heaven. Young and his family would like send our warmest gratitude to everyone who has been so loving and supportive during these difficult times. A memorial honoring Young will be held at All Nations Church Bakersfield, 6700 Schirra Court, Saturday, Oct. 16, at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will be followed immediately afterwards at Panda Palace Restaurant, 118 Oak Street. www.bakersfield.com/obits
