Eddie Paul Lemucchi June 14, 1918 - April 22, 2013 Eddie was born and raised in Bakersfield, Ca. His parents, Amadeo and Carmen Lemucchi, immigrated from Italy and settled in Buttonwillow, Ca. before moving to Bakersfield. Eddie attended Lincoln School and graduated from Kern County Union High School. He joined the Army in 1941 and was stationed in the Aleutian Islands, Alaska during World War II. He was honorably discharged from the Army and subsequently worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad. After retiring from the railroad, he worked for the Kern County Parks and Recreation Department for 18 years. Eddie was a proud and independent man who took pride in caring for the county parks where he worked. Eddie resided at Glenwood Gardens where he and his faithful dog "Bootsy" enjoyed their daily walks. Eddie is predeceased in death by his wife Marie Brunk Lemucchi; his sisters Jennie (Fred) Panetta, and Irene (Steve) Lemicchi; brothers Louie Lemucchi and John (Lena) Banducci. He is survived by his daughter Carolyn (Daryl) Compton of San Mateo, Ca.; nieces Deanna (Larry) Smith and Julia Battistoni; nephew Michael Panetta; and numerous grand nieces and nephews.
