Eleuterio "Tayo" L. Moreno Jr. 1936 - 2010 Eleuterio "Tayo" L. Moreno Jr., age 74, passed away July 21st, 2010, to join our Heavenly Father. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Eleuterio Moreno Sr. and Manuela (Nellie) Lostaunau Moreno; brother, Lupe Moreno; sister, Dolores Armas; nephew, Nick Moreno; and Nana Rafaela Macias. Tayo was born May 13, 1936, in Delano, California. He attended and graduated from local elementary schools, Delano High School and Bakersfield Jr. College with an AA Degree in Accounting. Tayo enjoyed being a member of the band throughout his elementary, high school and college years and also enjoyed playing golf while attending Jr. College. Tayo retired from the United States Postal Service, Delano Branch, after 33 years of dedicated service. He was also a member of the California National Guard for over 10 years. In earlier years, he enjoyed fishing and camping with family and friends and later going on trips to Laughlin and Las Vegas. Tayo is survived and remembered with love and affection by his beloved wife of 51 years, Helen Coria Moreno; daughter, Lisa Moreno Dahlstedt; sons, Anthony and Michael Moreno; grandchildren, Mikey, Nellie, Marissa, Mark and Gabriela Moreno, Alyssa Dahlstedt; great grandsons, Adrian and Andre Moreno; sisters, Elvira Reyes and Stella Diaz. He will also be missed by numerous family members and friends. Special thanks goes out to Dr. Vijay Patel, Dr. Gursharan Saini, the Nurses, C.N.A.s and staff of the Delano District Skilled Nursing Facility for the professional and compassionate care they provided. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010, at Delano Mortuary Chapel, 707 Browning Rd., at 5:00 p.m. and Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2010, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 916 Lexington St., at 8:00 a.m. The Funeral will follow at the Delano Cemetery, Albany St. & Garces Hwy.
