Danny Cruz February 15, 1966 - March 16, 2011 Danny Cruz, 45, of Bakersfield joined his sister, Venita, in Heaven on March 16, 2011. A Celebration of Life will be held at Hillcrest Chapel, at 9:00a.m. on Friday, March 25, 2011. Danny was born to Margaret and Felix Cruz on February 15, 1966 in Bakersfield, CA. Danny graduated from Foothill High School. His favorite sport was baseball. His greatest joy was being with his children, Jessica, Alexis, Danny Jr. and family, for all the family activities. Danny is survived by his wife, Valerie; his loving children, Danny Jr., Alexis, Jessica, Victoria; and grandson, Austin. Danny is also survived by his nieces, Marinna, Sabrina; and nephew Nathan; sisters, Monica Cruz and brother-in-law, Scott. Most of all Danny would like to thank his one brother, Rodney and his wife, Dawnie Wolford and family. The family and Danny would like to thank numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and the staff at Sparks Hospital, Fortsmith, Arkansas, as well as the staff from Hospice who carried him through in his final days. Danny was full of life, and compassion, he will be greatly missed. We love you. I see your smile, I see your face, still can't believe you're gone. It isn't fair, you died too young like a story that had just begun, but death tore the pages all away. God knows how I miss you. Sometimes I wonder who you'd be today. I wear the pain like a heavy coat. The only thing that gives me hope is I know I'll see you again someday. Holding you forever in our hearts. Love you always, Mom, Dad, and brother, Rodney LOVE YOU FOREVER AND A DAY www.bakersfield.com/obits
