Andrew Jon "Andy" Schuetz Obituary
Andrew "Andy" Jon Schuetz October 1, 1978 - May 20, 2012 Andrew "Andy" Jon Schuetz, 33, passed away unexpectedly on May 20, 2012. He attended Garces Memorial High and Stockdale High School, where he met his wife, the love of his life, Amy. Andy worked for the family business, HFS Enterprises, Inc. in Shafter, CA for the past 16 years. He is survived by his wife, Amy and his four children; Gaige (13), Vincent (12), Sydney (8), and Conrad (6). His parents, Jonathan and Julie Schuetz of Bakersfield, CA., sister, Jaime Schmoekel and husband Erik of San Diego, CA., and his brother Paul Schuetz and wife, Natalia of La Caruna, Spain. Andy was extremely passionate about his family. The love of his life Amy, and their four beautiful children, whom he absolutely adored. He loved taking his sons fishing, target shooting, surfing and selling surfboards, and watching his favorite football team, the Oakland Raiders. His daughter Sydney was the star in his heaven. She filled so much of his heart as she was definitely daddy's little girl. Andy was so full of love for his family and his friends, whom he considered his brothers and would do anything for anyone anytime. He loved going golfing with his friends and always added his own commentary with his quick witted humor. He was an incessant talker and would talk his ball around every tree he got behind. Andy loved the outdoors, whether he was golfing, fishing, target shooting, surfing or adopting the local wildlife. Like his father, he also enjoyed playing the guitar. He was an amazing artist as well, comparable to the style of Salvadore Dali. A true talent that few knew about him. Andy loved everyone he knew so deeply and everyone who knew him deeply loved him. He had the brightest smile and the most infectious laugh. If you knew him, you knew you had a friend for life. The family would like to thank their friends and all of Andy's friends who have shown such an abundance of love and support during this difficult time. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30 A Memorial will be held, Friday, May 25, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 900 H St., Bakersfield, CA 93304. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at Kern Schools Federal Credit Union for the Schuetz children, account # 15136. www.bakersfield.com/obits
