Herman Frederick Ruddell July 14, 1942 - February 22, 2013 Herman grew up in CT and served in the Air Force after graduation from high school. He earned his bachelor's degree from Sonoma State University and his master's at George Washington University. He lived in Bakersfield from 1983 when his career brought him to Memorial Hospital, until his retirement as general manager at Minter Field Airport District, Shafter, in 2010. Since 2010 Herman enjoyed retirement with his family in Eugene, Oregon. He is survived by his wife Hope and sons Brock (Dover, NH) and Rick (Eugene, OR) and daughters Justine (Greenfield, WI), and Haley and Mahala (both of Eugene). Also he leaves three grandsons, two step-grandsons, and one great-grandson. Two brothers, Bill (CT) and Andrew (AL) survive him, as well as two nieces and four nephews.
