Louis Conrad Kerker 1911 - 2013 Louis Conrad Kerker was born February 12, 1911 in Peoria Illinois and passed from us on March 4, 2013 in Bakersfield. Louis' funeral service will be held Saturday April 6, 1:00p at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Louis is preceded in death by his wife of many years, Monteen; his sister-in-law Odwin Eisenhauer and his nephew Raymond Parres Sr. He is survived by his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews: Pauline Parres; George and Sally Johansson; Bradley and Michelle Parres; Tiffany and Jill Parres-Gold; Daphne Adam; Raymond Parres Jr.; Michael Parres; Lindsay Parres; Jaime Parres; Jacqueline Parres and Christopher Parres. Louis was and will always remain a beloved member of the Bakersfield community which he faithfully served for many years. Louis was happiest when helping others and he would like to be remembered for his volunteerism which he discharged with grace. As a result of his generous spirit, he was rich in friends. Among Louis' many achievements: ~20 year volunteer for the Kern County Sheriff's Citizens Service Unit ~30 year volunteer for Alliance Against Family Violence and Sexual Assault ~Member Kern County Shrine Club ~Master Mason Libertas-Security Lodge #466 ~Member Bakersfield Elks Lodge #266 ~Recipient of the 2005 Beautiful Bakersfield Award for Seniors ...and many other organizations from which he received recognition for outstanding contributions. His family thanks Optimal Hospice Care and the staff of Alternative Care who lovingly and gently cared for Louis during the last months of his life.
