Janice Lynn (Hambaroff) Strauser

1952 - 2007 Obituary Condolences
Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 1st, at 2:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park to celebrate the life of "Jahn" Stauser, age 54. Her passing from this life from a stroke brings much sadness for the family. However, all who knew her can imagine her righteous laughter, smile and awe as she realized the journey she was taking, and then see her prone in worship of her King, her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jahn was a fun loving free spirit who was passionate about sharing God with everyone she came in contact with. Born and raised in Bakersfield she graduated from Foothill High School in 1970. She was a devoted housewife for 31 years to David Strauser and gave birth to her three best friends, Syndi Lynn Strauser, JoDee Sheree Alexander (Travis) and Shaun David Strauser. These children gave her two beautiful grandchildren, Ellijah Strauser and Nason Alexander. Jahn was so excited at the news that Nason would be having a baby sister soon, Shylah Jan Alexander to be born June 15, 2007. Also left to cherish her memory is her mother, Delores Hambaroff; aunts, Florance Ajootian (Martin), Marjorie Siemens; sister, Joy Stamp (Danny); brother, Pete Hambaroff (Michelle); grandpa, John Sloas (Ouida); sister-in-law, Sue Winters (Jess); brothers-in-law, Phil Strauser (Rhea), Steve Strauser; father-in-law, Philip Strauser; nephews, Chad Stamp, Nick Winters (April), and Dennis Strauser; nieces, Tami Calderwood (Shawn), Jami and Kristen Hambaroff, Bridget Daugherty (Joe), Susan Chiniewicz (Mike), and Samantha Strauser; as well as many cousins, great-nieces and nephews. Jahn was welcomed to Heaven by her father, Jack Hambaroff; uncle, Sam Hambaroff; grandma, Mable Sloas; mother-in-law, Josephine Strauser; and childhood friend, Ginger May. You will be greatly missed Jahn but never forgotten. Our hope is in the Lord and His promise that all who confess Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior will see our loved ones again and that we will be face to face with our God for eternity. John 3:16. We would like to thank the many nurses and doctors at Kern Medical Center for their kindness toward our mother/wife and family. Jahn was "mother" to many dogs, birds, cats and fish since childhood, therefore in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local S.P.C.A. Visitation begins today, Wednesday, February 28th, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday, March 1st from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Mission Family Mortuary.
