Baxter, Gerard Lee "Jerry" - Sarasota  
Gerard Lee (Jerry) Baxter. Jerry died suddenly on February 26th, 2015. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, to Dorothy and Gerard Baxter, and grew up in Towson, Maryland. He attended Towson High School (class of '62) and graduated from the University of Baltimore with a business degree after a stint in the Navy as a submariner. He worked for several years for Sweetheart Cup/Maryland Cup Corp., Owings Mills, Maryland, and retired to devote more time to his hobbies, model railroading and collecting 50's cars. He owned many Ford Thunderbirds and Chevrolet Corvettes over the years. He moved to Bonita Springs, Florida, in 1999 as a "snow bird" and eventually relocated full time to Sarasota in 2003. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Wiseman, of Deland, Florida, and by his niece, Deborah Mays, of Ashburn, Virginia, and by his former wife, Mary Pat Baxter, also of Sarasota, and pets Lucie and Bandit. Blum, Katherine B. - Towson  
On March 2, 2015 Katherine B. Blum, age 101, passed into eternal life. The last eight years she resided at Oak Crest Retirement Village, she was born in Baltimore to a family of eleven children. Her siblings included Margaret, Mary, Victoria Mielke, Bernadine Schlicht, Rita, George, Charles, Benedict, Francis and Joseph Blum. She is survived by her brother Charles Blum and 14 nieces and nephews. Katherine enjoyed her church sodality for many years at Saint Thomas Aquinas, along with traveling, reading, sewing, the theatre and was an active member of the Baltimore Civic League. She loved working at the annual Flower Mart. She was a very prayerful woman who said the rosary every day and throughout her life cared for those in need. She retired from the Maryland Casualty after 27 years. Early in her life she worked at her parents grocery store in Hampden and Schwab's Café'. Viewing will be on Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 York Rd. (beltway exit 26) . Katherine will lie in state Monday from 10:30 to 11:00 in Oak Crest Village Chapel at which time a Funeral mass will be celebrated for Katherine. Interment following in the New Cathedral Cemetery, Catonsville. Katherine and her family invite you to celebrate her life and request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be of the Charity of your choice.

Bosley, Laura - Forest Hill  
On Wednesday, March 4, 2015, Laura V. Bosley, age 80 of Phoenix, MD. Beloved wife for nearly 60 years of John Bosley; devoted mother of James Bosley, Dennis Bosley, and Scott Bosley and his wife Angie; loving grandmother of J.D. Bosley, Michael Bosley, Dustin Wilhide, Nicholas Bosley, and Heather Bush; and great-grandmother of Caleb Bosley. Also survived by four siblings and predeceased by two sisters. Family and friends will gather to honor Laura's life at the family owned Evans Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services - Bel Air, 3 Newport Dr. ( Rts. 23 & 24 - Forest Hill) on Sunday, March 8 from 2-4. A service will be held the following day at St. John's Lutheran Church Sweet Air, 3911 Sweet Air Rd. in Phoenix, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery. Bruns, John - Arbutus  
John Reeve Bruns, age 83, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 1, 2015. John is survived by his wife of over two decades, the former Eleanor Gaass Lytwynec. John is also survived by his sisters, Pat Thomas and Dolores Phillips, his children, Marshalle Stewart and her husband Lloyd, Paul Bruns and his wife Barbara, Darlene Bruns, Glen Bruns, Rodee Bruns and Richard Bruns. Also, his grandchildren Marci, Tina, Timmy, Jennifer, and Megan Lytwynec. John is preceded in death by a son, John (Jeb) Bruns. A viewing will be held on Friday, March 6 from 4-7pm at Ambrose Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd, Arbutus, MD 21227 followed by a funeral service at 7pm. Interment to be private.

On March 3, 2015, Gary X. Curley passed away suddenly. He is survived by his cherished daughter, Elizabeth Wiles and her husband, Michael; beloved son of Gerry Curley and the late Francis X. Curley; dear brother of Charlene Curley and her husband Richard Williamson, and Craig Curley and his wife, Carole; loving companion of Tena Smith. Peacefully on March 2, 2015, Shirley F. French (nee Alvey), born in Baltimore Maryland on March 4, 1939, was the beloved wife for 45 years to Joseph W. French, Jr.; loving mother of Michelle (and her husband Chad) Marie French Keim, the late Joey Mark French; devoted grandmother of Deacon Ryan, and Campbell Miller, dear sister of Gloria Holt, Joseph Alvey, Jr., the late Doris Flavin, John Alvey, Raymond Alvey and James Alvey; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
