MaryAnn Blackburn, 63 of Dubuque, formerly of Baltimore passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at home. She was born on June 26, 1949, in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of John and Gertrude (Zubrowski) Nuedling Sr. In Baltimore, MaryAnn attended grade school at Sacred Heart of Jesus, Patterson High School, and the University of MD for her undergrad Education Degree and Masters Reading Degree. She worked as an elementary school teacher
for 33 years, 21 years with the Baltimore Public Schools. She is survived by her husband Ken, her two children Anita and Nathan, her mother, Gertrude (Zubrowski) Nuedling, and a brother, John Nuedling Jr. Close cousins; Jackie Taylor and Celeste Love, and all the many cousins from the Nuedling and Zubrowski families. She is preceded in death by her father John Nuedling Sr., paternal grandparents William & Elizabeth Nuedling, maternal grandparents John & Lillian Zubrowski. Aunts and uncles; Teresa and Marie Nuedling, Leo Sr. and Evelyn Nuedling, Bill and Anna Nuedling, Frank and Marge Nuedling, Casmir and Leona Kulinski, Margaret and Lewis Borowicz, Eleanor Kordek, Rita and Philip Bernhardt, Catherine and Ted Boczar, Richard and Gloria Zubrowski, Tony Zubrowski. Services will be at 10 AM on Tuesday, May 21 at St. Columbkille's Catholic Church, Dubuque, IA with Rev. Gabriel Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Dubuque, IA. Friends may call from 3-8 PM on Monday, May 20, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Rd, Dubuque, IA where there will be a wake service at 3 PM.
