Robert R. Burns

BURNS , Robert R. Robert Randolph Burns (Randy) died peacefully in his Annapolis, MD home on January 7, 2013 after living an adventurous and engaging life. Randy was born April 1, 1939 in Memphis, TN to parents George Robert Burns and Lillian Randolph. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Muth Burns, whom he married on March 15, 1994 on St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands. Surviving family includes his wife Nancy; three children, Kevin Burns, Evan Burns and Kelly Burns; niece, Sherry Burns; three stepchildren, Holly Boone Johnson, Gregory Boone and Jessica Boone Morrison; sister, Eva Burns Epps; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Randy was an accomplished businessman, avid sailor and pilot, explorer, and benefactor to many. His travels took him around the world, including multiple trips to Haiti, where he developed a special love for the Haitian children.
A private service will be held for the family at the Epping Forest Chapel on Sunday, January 13 at 2 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Epping Forest Club House, 354 Severn Road, Annapolis, MD 21401 at 3pm.
