WILLIAM C. CLARK, age 94, of Fernandina Beach, FL passed away early Tuesday morning, November 19, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Clark was born in Baltimore MD on January 22, 1919, the second of five siblings to the late William and Elizabeth Gunther Clark. Mr. Clark attended school and was a lifelong resident of Baltimore before moving to Fernandina Beach in 2007. Mr. Clark served proudly and honorably for his country in the United States Army
, 302ND Infantry, 94th Division of the 3rd Army under General Patton during WW II. He participated in heavy combat in many European countries. After his involvement in the war, Mr. Clark returned to Baltimore and became a Master Craftsman working for several construction companies as an Electrician, Plummer, and Carpenter. He loved to garden and was very proud of his military career and a highly decorated veteran. The family would like to thank the staff of Community Hospice of Northeast Florida for their tremendous care of Mr. Clark. Along with his parents, Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his siblings, George Clark, Edward Clark, Catherine Clark Young and Albert Clark. He leaves behind his daughter Shirley Clark Blumenberg; granddaughter Dawn Hicks Ward (Frank "Glea" Ward); and great-granddaughter Destiny Ward, all of Fernandina Beach FL. Many nieces and nephews in the Baltimore area.
Mr. Clark will be laid to rest in Lowden Park Cemetery in Baltimore MD with military honors.
