Willie Parker

PARKER , Willie Willie (Brothe) Parker was born December 15, 1945 in Emporia, VA to the late Ida and Percy Parker; Brothe received his education in the Greensville County School System. After school, Willie was employed by Alex Cooper, working on old cars. Willie was called home to rest on Friday, March 22, 2013. Willie was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence Parker and Percy Parker, Jr.; one sister, Mary Alice Parker. Willie was employed by League Lumber Company for a number of years and later employed by Steeltin Can Company of Rosedale until his retirement. Willie loved fishing, working on cars, and cooking. He was an excellent cook. Willie is survived by his wife, Diane, of 20 years; two sisters, Pearl Thomas and Marion Johnson; two brothers-in-law, Clifton Johnson and Ernest Thomas; ten children, Laverne, Reginald, James, Tina, Margaret, Petey, Marcie, Brenda, Samuel, and Terry; one daughter-in-law Lakisha S. Smith; one son-in-law, Anthony Hill; thirteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three nephews, one neice, Kareen, Dante, Kareen, Jr., and Kiona; a special family friend Sandy and Horace; a host of other relatives and friends.
