Isabelle Schiavone Obituary

SCHIAVONE , Isabelle M. Isabelle M. Schiavone, 87, of Lancaster, passed away Friday March 30, 2012 at Hospice of Lancaster County. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Izzy was the only child of the late August and Josephine (Stein) Walther. After graduating from Mount Saint Agnes College in Baltimore in 1947, Isabelle worked as a medical technologist. In 1950, Isabelle married Michael C. Schiavone. They remained lovingly devoted for 61 years. In addition to her husband, Michael, Izzy is survived by 7 children: Patricia Hogentogler, wife of Stuard, Mary K. Roda, wife of David, Theresa Horn, wife of Philip, Claire Matyi wife of Alexander, Peggy Garguilo wife of John, Kathryn Mullins, and Michael Jr., husband of Yolanda. Izzy is also the proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 12 noon at St. John Neumann Catholic Church 601 E. Delp Rd. Lancaster, PA 17601 with The Rev. Msgr. Richard Youtz as Celebrant. A viewing will precede the Mass on April 4, 2012 from 10 AM to 12 noon at the church. Interment will be private in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
